Winnie the Wool Wagon was born in France and moved to London at an early age.
With her unique and quirky style she was always interested in the creative side of life. When Marina Hand found her in Luton, just outside of London and suggested that she come to Ireland to sell craft products in the markets she didn’t think twice.
When she arrived in Ireland she visited Red and Grey who designed a wonderful coloured outfit suitable for her new lifestyle and she headed for the markets to help Marina.
November 2010 saw the opening of Winnie’s Craft Café which provide an oasis of calm and colour for those interested in knitting, crochet and beading. Conscious that not everybody is creative but still may need a little quiet time, there is also a lovely café where the friendly staff will ply you with breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee and sticky buns and cakes of all types while you take a little break.
Winnie is conscious that not everybody can visit either the markets or the Café so now you can buy from Winnie on the web too. Practically every item that is in the shop will be available online!
Winnie loves to hear from her friends and see how they are doing with their projects. Check out Winnie and Friends to see what’s new!
